Barristers (Newlands) Barristers pub and restaurant offers an everyday pub lunch special from 11am to 6pm. For just R50, you can choose a hearty lunch from the special menu, which may include calamari, fish and chips, the Barristers burger, cottage pie, chilli con carne, pork chops and chips, bangers and mash, and more.
Beerhouse (City Bowl) Tuck into a scrumptious lunch with a 350ml beer or soft drink for R50. Their specials menu changes weekly, but may include anything from mac and cheese with smoked bacon, rosa tomatoes, peppadews and garlic bread to pesto chicken, grilled veg and blue cheese. Blowfish Restaurant (Table View) There’s a daily oysters and bubbly special from 12.30pm until 10pm for R129, which gets you six fresh oysters and two glasses of Pieter Cruystoff bubbly.
Borage (City Bowl) Choose between options like chicken-and-mushroom pasta, Swiss beef stroganoff, and Asian duck and butternut salad. This special runs from noon daily and changes weekly.
Borruso’s Too (Plumstead) Enjoy a variety of daily specials like mac ‘n cheese (R60), creamy pesto pasta (R70), bacon, blue cheese and fig preserve pasta (R74), various pizzas and their Mojo jam jar cocktail special (R70).
Caffé Villagio (Milnerton) Enjoy a breakfast special for R29.95 with eggs (done your way), bacon, tomato, fries and toast, or order a burger and fries for R59. You could also tuck into a portion of calamari served with a lemon and sweet chilli mayo and homemade fries or a garden salad for R55. This special is valid between 12pm and 3pm only.

Clarke’s Bar and Dining Room (City Bowl) Monday to Friday from 7am to 8am, all coffees are R12. Breakfast special from 8am to 9am: Get two farm eggs on toast plus a coffee or glass of OJ for R25. On Tuesdays from 6pm to 7pm, get two cheeseburgers or two zucchini-and-beet burgers (or one of each) for R85. Tuesdays to Fridays from 5pm, pay R10 per oyster (includes a baked variety). Daily drinks specials: Get selected drinks for R27 during happy hour from 5pm to 7pm, and get a bottle of beer plus shot of Jagermeister or El Jimador for R26, all day.
Da Vinci’s on Kloof (Gardens) From Monday to Saturday, enjoy the R50 lunch special from 11.30am to 4.30pm, which includes options such as burgers and chips; chicken schnitzel, cheese sauce and chips; lasagne and salad; and bangers and mash.
Diemersdal Farm Eatery (Durbanville): Tuck into a succulent steak special for two. R220 gets you two 250g sirloin steaks served with crispy chips, a rocket salad, roasted onions and béarnaise sauce, plus two glasses of Diemersdal cabernet-sauvignon merlot. This special is served every Thursday from 6pm to 9pm. Booking essential.

HQ (City Bowl) Tuesday night is date night at HQ where you can enjoy two salads, two steaks with chips and two glasses of The Wolftrap wine for R250 per couple. Booking is essential.
Neighbourhood (City Bowl) Order any gourmet burger and a pint of Grolsch for lunch and pay only R80. The gourmet burger special is available from Monday to Friday during lunchtime. Every day of the week, order a mezze platter and two glasses of house wine for R90, or main wings and two Grolsch draughts for R80.
NV-80 (Sea Point) Head here for the weekday business lunch special and get two courses for R149 or three courses for R189.

These specials are available Monday to Sunday from 11am to 5pm. Stop by for happy hour and order the tapas or mezze platter, served with half a litre of wine, for R150.
Spiro’s (Hout Bay) Tuesdays, you can enjoy a 500g T-bone steak, served with roasted vegetables or chips and a choice of mushroom or pepper sauce for R110.
