Safari - Pilanesberg

Since I can remember I've always wanted to go on Safari and now was the perfect opportunity to do so. I always felt a stronger connection to nature in a natural habitat, you spend so much time with domesticated animals it kind of makes you wonder...what if your dog wasn't domesticated or trained, what type of animal would he be like, would he still have the same personality or would he be happier expressing his true animalistic nature...

So I set on my journey in my first Jet, Im sure you could imagine the excitement, the journey I've been dreaming of has finally become a reality. I had no idea what to expect, I was now living my own "Blended" experience.

I got to stay at a wonderful resort called "The Kingdom Resort" I got to be the king of the Jungle in my own mini kingdom, and that afternoon after I arrived I was setting out on my first Safari Adventure with Kwa Maritane. All checked in, with a world of uncontrolled expectations I had no idea what I was going to see, this was an actual Safari in a kingdom on natural unconstructed animal inhabitants. So I went on my adventure, not knowing what to expect, not planned to see specific animals, it was all by chance, seeing animals I've only ever see on television. This trip was magical, I got greeted by a mama hippopotamus protecting her young one, she put on a show demonstrating her strength and size, in the animal kingdom this is how she would react if she's seen another animal that she think causes a threat, but at the same time she was very curious to see this strange looking animal with many eyes staring back at her, after being in awe we knew we had to leave her be and continue on the next adventure and see more of natures master pieces. During the safari trips I got to see many different animals at least 4 of the "Big Five"only not seeing the Leopard. But one of my favourites was seeing a lion catching his zebra and enjoying his dinner, it was a highlight, it was different from putting food in my doggies bowl, here the animals take care of themselves using their natural animal instincts. Also having breakfast and elephants, giraffes and impala and their families eating close by from the trees and plants. But the adventure didn't stop there...

While I was there I thought why not? What not take the opportunity of a spa day...well a spa day turned into two spa days but I was on holiday right? I was in nature, I just needed to soak it all in.

If you honestly want a good spa try the one at Kwa Maritane, I had an amazing Aroma Therapy Massage as well as a Detox Wrap, Body Scrub and of cos the Manicure and Pedicure, everything was pure bliss

And theres always time for a bit of Safari Fashion
