Bokeh Fashion Film Festival
The Bokeh Fashion Film Festival is one of my favorite Fashion Events of the year, its the perfect time to be creative and express your "passion for fashion" on the Red Carpet. This year I decided to express two sides of me, the Classic Gentleman side with a touch of Luxe as well as my love for Print with one of my favorite designers Mzukisi from Imprint.
Now to give you more Depth about the fabulous event, it basically showcases Short Films showcasing Fashion from all around the world, this year I got to interact with wonderful people at the show, from Directors to Make up artist and photographers, all a wonderful bunch of creative people. But Specifically I would like to introduce you to one of the Directors with a more controversial take on what fashion is, or how i like to put it, Fashion Forward
I got to do a brief Interview with talented Director Antonio Contreras Aviance , hope you enjoy some insight into the mind of a talented and characteristic Film Maker. What caught my attention mostly is that he stood out and was willing to take risk most people choose to ignore or choose to take a more conservative approach to, his style of production is more raw rather than glossy and his confidence that shines through his stage presence, film presence and the work he portrays.
1. What to you is the highlight of the Bokeh Fashion Film Festival? Making the world a smaller place, meeting with artists from South Africa and all over the planet.
2. What do you think separates your film style from other film makers in the competition?
My stories, I talk about matters of the heart, nothing moves you in this life as passion and love, they make you do great and horrible things. 3. Can you define your ideal style? and what inspires your choice of clothing you choose to portray in your films and on the red carpet?
I can not imagine life without fashion, my characters reflect their personalities through their costumes, they might not be able to tell you who they are in 15 seconds but their clothes would tell you their stories. Red carpet for me is like the Olympics to me I dress to please me. 4. What knowledge and experience have you gained from attending all these film festivals and which is your favorite?
More is more ! I have favorite moments South Africa is extravagant, la Jolla is very close to my heart, Mexico is heartbreaking, Paris is ephemeral, 5. What can we expect going forward?
